GRADE COURSE INFO

Grade 8 Referee Course is open to all individuals 15 years of age or older. If you are not 15 years of age and are still interested in officiating there is a Grade 9 Referee Course offered by the Hudson Valley Referee Soccer Association. Grade 8 referee course summary:

•   The course is a four day, 18-hour course.
•   Individuals participating in the course must attend ALL DATES.
•   Individuals should bring a pen and a notepad with them to all meeting dates to prepare for the final test.
•   The final test consists of 100 multiple choice questions in which a participant must score a 75 or higher.
•   Individuals should also bring a bagged lunch with them to the course dates, a half hour break will be given on the Saturday sessions.
•   The Grade 8 course is for individuals 15 years of age or older.

Referees usually begin at 13 years old. Referees are paisd for their services and are reimbursed the cost of the Entry Level course after they referee for the Club 1 year. Contact Head Referee Keren Larkin (see contact info by clicking ADMINISTRATION tab on top) if you are going for certification, want to be included as a Club ref or if you need more info.

TRAVEL GAMES: DIVISION 2, 3, 4, 5: U-8,9,10,11,12.
Referees are assigned to these Non-Division 1 HOME games by the Club. All other Travel Division and Age Group games are assigned referees by the Hudson Valley Soccer Referee Association. Follow you games Operating Procedure on how coach notification for these games are handled.
