Scholarship applicants:

Congratulations on your pending graduation! Carmel United Soccer Club is once again proud to be able to offer a limited number of scholarships to this year’s graduating class. As a graduating senior involved with the Club, you may be eligible to receive a scholarship. The selection committee is now accepting written applications for consideration. The amount of the award has typically ranged from $200-300, depending on the number of qualified applicants.

The criteria and requirements for consideration are as follows:

The applicant must be an active member of Carmel United as a player, coach, or referee during the applicant's senior year. If there is not a viable team for the applicant to play on for their senior year, the applicant must have played for the Club at one time.
The applicant must live in the Carmel Central School District.
The applicant must have a weighted GPA of 85 or higher on their high school transcript, as well as an average of 85 or higher for the second quarter of their senior year. A copy of their current high school transcript, to be obtained from their guidance counselor, as well as a copy of their senior year second quarter report card must be submitted.
The applicant must be scheduled to graduate by June of their senior year and plan to attend an institution of higher education (college, trade school, or the military). They should indicate which institution they are considering attending and their intended major, if they are known.
The applicant must submit a 250-word essay on his/her goals for the future and include how Carmel United and the sport of soccer have affected their lives. They should also include the Club team(s) they have played on, how long they have been a referee (if applicable), and/or any volunteer hours they have given to the Club (if applicable).
The applicant must be available for a personal interview at the discretion of the committee.

The completed application must be received no later than April 1st by using the application form below.
