​Carmel United is proud to introduce Carmel United Academy to members of the Carmel United family.

​Our objectives with this Academy are simply to provide Local Affordable Soccer Training opportunities to support Carmel United player development. This program possible for a few reasons...

First, Carmel United is a not-for-profit organization. We are not in this for the money. We do this because we want the players in our community to develop a love and passion for soccer. As a non-profit, we can offer our program at much lower rates than competitors in the "pay-to-play" space. Those organizations' primary objective is to make money, yet their trainers may be no better qualified than others. We are firm believers that paying more does not necessarily mean you are getting a better product. You can get the same quality training and experience as those organizations, if not BETTER, right here in Carmel for LESS.​​

​The second reason this program is possible is because we have qualified people to lead it. Carmel United Academy training sessions will be run by Carmel's own Coach Vasiliy Shevelchinsky:

• Head Coach of Carmel United Soccer Club
• Carmel High School Boys Varsity Head Coach
  
• Holds a US Soccer "C" license
  
• Works with several Carmel United Travel teams
  

​​​Carmel United Academy is meant to complement your team training, not replace it. Player must be currently registered on a Carmel United Travel team to participate. We will provide supplemental professional training encompassing:

• The 4 Pillars of Player Development:
  
  • Technical Development (dribbling, passing, shooting, touch)
  • Tactical Development (game elements)
    
  • Physical Development (speed, agility, strength)
    
  • Mental Development (focus, confidence, decision-making)
• ​The 4 Moments of the Game:
  
  • Attacking (we have the ball)
    
  • Losing the Ball (we lost the ball)
    
  • Defending (our opponent now has the ball)
    
  • Winning the Ball (our opponent lost the ball)
    
• Individual Skills: Dribbling, Passing, Shooting, Turning, ​Touch/Control
